• Popping in, unexpectedly, to a book launch, only to discover that the artist was someone I'd seen in Berlin and really liked.
• Good chatter with a new person and a familiar friend, in a Spitalfields pub that I've walked past a hundred times before.
• Walking along the river in daylight.
• Kissing a smooth-shaved cheek at the end of the night.
• A cream cheese bagel bought and eaten on the hop in Brick Lane, despite the skinny hipped jeans.
